BRISSET Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Les Chenevottes (750ml)

Maison Brisset make Premier Cru and Grand Cru wines in Burgundy.  The house is part of the pure Burgundian tradition of the great merchant-winemakers of the Côte de Beaune and the Côte Nuits.  Their wines are vinified and aged with respect for their finesse, their complexity and their typicality in relation to their terroir. They are produced from the two great grape varieties of Burgundy: Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the most beautiful sites classified as Premier Cru and Grand Cru on the most prestigious appellations of the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune.  Their production is voluntarily limited to a few thousand bottles per year in order to guarantee the production of exceptional wines. 

The secret of the Burgundian soils lies in one word: limestone, in the form of a hard stone but also in porous and crumbly chalk or else mixed with clay to form marl. Shaped since the Jurassic era, the great Burgundian terroirs, those on which the first men planted vines, began to form at the end of the Ice Age, around 10,000 years ago.  The monks delimited the grands crus with the only help of their sense of observation. By only offering wines from the “Côte”, that of Nuits and that of Beaune, the Maison Pierre Brisset is part of this long lineage of “Burgundy wines” a magical expression that excites all lovers of great wines.
